We've moved to a new home in Manchester
After more than five years in our previous office, we have moved a short distance across central Manchester to a new home at Maple House on Carlow Street. The new space gives us a little more room to grow, a proper area for client workshops, and — to the relief of everyone — enough meeting rooms that booking one no longer feels like a competitive sport.
Built for the way we work
Our old office served us well, but it was designed for a smaller studio. As the team grew, we found ourselves short of the quiet corners where focused work happens and the open spaces where ideas get worked out at a whiteboard. The new space was chosen with both in mind: a generous central area for the daily back-and-forth of building software together, and rooms around the edges for the kind of concentration that good engineering needs.
We have also set aside a dedicated room for discovery workshops. So much of a project's success is decided in those early conversations, when we are still trying to understand the real problem. Having a comfortable space to bring clients into, away from the noise, is something we have wanted for a long time.
Still in the heart of the city
We were keen to stay central. Being easy to reach matters for clients who visit us, and it matters for the team, many of whom value being close to the life of the city. Maple House keeps us within easy walking distance of the stations and of the places we have come to think of as extensions of the office — the cafés where a surprising amount of design work quietly gets done.
Our contact details and phone number are unchanged; only the address has moved. You can find the new address at the bottom of every page on this site, and we would be glad to welcome you to it. The kettle is already on.
